Frequently Asked Questions
What is Cyclohexylamine used for?
This product is mainly used as a solvent, and can also be used to prepare desulfurizers, rubber
antioxidants, vulcanization accelerators, chemical additives for plastics and textiles, boiler feed
water treatment agents, metal corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, preservatives, antistatic agents, latex
coagulant, petroleum additives, fungicides, insecticides and dye intermediates.
The precautions of operation and storage?
Operation Precautions: Airtight operation, pay attention to ventilation. Operators must undergo special
training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear direct
gas masks (half masks), chemical safety goggles, anti-corrosion overalls, and rubber oil-resistant
gloves. Keep away from fire and heat sources, and smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use
explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Prevent vapors from escaping into workplace air.
Avoid contact with acids. When handling, load and unload lightly to prevent damage to packaging and
containers. Equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage
emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may contain hazardous residues.
Storage precautions:
1. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Storage temperature
should not exceed 30°C. Keep container tightly closed. It should be stored separately from acids and
food chemicals, and should not be stored together. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities
are adopted. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. The storage
area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable containment
materials.
2. Cyclohexylamine is strongly alkaline and can absorb carbon dioxide in the air to rapidly generate
white crystalline carbonate. Therefore, the storage package should be airtight. Packed in iron drum,
150kg or 170kg per drum. Store in a cool, ventilated, dry place. Protect the products from the sun.
Isolate from heat and sources of ignition. Store and transport according to the regulations of flammable
and toxic chemicals.
