Synthesis of 2-Aminothiophenol: Sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) and 2-nitrophenol are mixed in an ice-water mixture, and then sodium sulfide (Na2S) is slowly added to the mixture while stirring. The mixture is then heated to reflux for several hours until the reaction is complete. The resulting product is 2-Aminothiophenol.

Synthesis of Sodium 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole: 2-Aminothiophenol is dissolved in sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution, and then carbon disulfide (CS2) is slowly added to the solution while stirring. The mixture is heated to reflux for several hours until the reaction is complete. The resulting product is Sodium 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole.
