SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Cough. Sore throat. Use local exhaust or breathing protection. Fresh air, rest.
Skin Redness. Burning sensation. Itching. Protective gloves. Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
Eyes Redness. Pain. Wear safety goggles. First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention.
Ingestion Abdominal pain. Nausea. Vomiting. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating. Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.

Epoxidation: Succinic acid is first epoxidized to produce epoxysuccinic acid.
Etherification: Epoxysuccinic acid is then treated with an alkali metal hydroxide to form the sodium salt and then etherified with an alcohol.
Hydrolysis: The resulting etherified product is hydrolyzed to produce Sodium Polyepoxysuccinic Acid.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Sodium of Polyepoxysuccinic Acid?
PESA is a phosphorus-free, non-nitrogen, green and environmentally friendly water-soluble polymer. PESA has good scale-inhibiting and dispersing performance on calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, calcium fluoride and silica scale in water, and has good synergistic effect when compounded with phosphonate. PESA is biodegradable and has a wide range of applications, especially for cooling water systems under high alkali, high hardness, and high pH conditions, and can achieve high concentration multiple operation. PESA has good compatibility with chlorine and good compatibility with other chemicals.
PESA can be used as a nano-calcium carbonate dispersant, and can also be used in the processing of papermaking, paint, ink, coating, daily chemical and other industries. The addition of PESA improves the fluidity of the calcium carbonate suspension, improves the properties of the calcium carbonate surface, reduces the surface energy of the particles, improves the affinity with the dispersion medium, and effectively inhibits the agglomeration of the particles, thereby increasing its dispersion performance, so that it can be evenly dispersed in the body.
In addition, PESA is also widely used in the field of textile printing and dyeing. It is used in the pre-dyeing and finishing process, which can significantly improve the scouring effect, in the processes of desizing, scouring, bleaching and dyeing, It can reduce the impact of Ca2+, Mg2+, Cu2+, Fe2+ and other metal ions in water on product quality. It has a protective effect on the decomposition of H2O2 and fiber, it can significantly improve whiteness and eliminate macular phenomenon.

Applications and usage methods?
PESA is suitable for oil field water injection, boiler water treatment and other fields, it is suitable for circulating cooling water systems in steel, petrochemical, electric power, pharmaceutical and other industries, it is especially suitable for boiler water treatment of high alkalinity, high hardness, high pH, and high concentration multiple systems, circulating cooling water treatment, seawater desalination, membrane separation and other fields, it is suitable for detergent industry.
When PESA is used in the field of water treatment, the dosage is generally 10-30mg/L. When PESA is used as a dispersant, the recommended dosage is 0.5-3.0%. The specific dosage can be determined according to the experiment. Since this product is anionic, it should not be used together with cationic chemical additives.
